  Nose has baked apple, huge spice, something powdered about it - stone? spice? Soaring minerality. Palate enters sweet, but structured: baked apple, red apple, spice, with power in reserve. Lemon, grapefruit, and tart green apple acid glisten below the surface and then emerge to burn the tongue on the finish. Golden all the way through, but superb lift. Some floral and herbal notes, lemon, citric, mineral, red apple finish. Long spicy finish; evolves on the tongue. Great wine.
