  • Too old. Hopefully bottle variation

  • Six years later. Lost in cellar. Deep brown/gold like a very old auslese. Old brown hock! Pure, mineral no sign of petrol. Looked as if oxidized. Just enough acidity. Interesting but aged much quicker than expected. Drink now.

  • Fully mature imho.

Bien +

From Turckheim, the cru is very "solar" bottom of the slope, and southernly exposed, so it might get pretty ripe... It was and still is

Very evoluted, no petrol nor kerosene here, with honey, bee wax, same on the palate, not much acidity to hold it well together... good balance still but nothing too exceptional here. That happens :)

  • Dense and honeyed texture, but palate expression is very dry (Indice 2) with great cut. Slate, citrus and peach, zest and pit, with saline tones emerging on day two. Prototypical, classic, pure. Great wine. Z-H isn’t always consistent, but the highs are very high indeed.
