Very nice again. Tasted under not-so-ideal circumstances out of a tumbler, but it was still good and powerful with excellent depth. Funny, 8 months ago I remarked about how un-Aussie it is without commenting about how Rhone-like it is. That's where this really equates and shines. As good as many of the '07 CdR's I've had. gut score 91

Extremely dark purple, almost 100% saturated. Profound nose of lavender, rose, and carnation florals with dark currant, plum, kirsch, and a little bubblegum. Very minimal oak evidence. Also had the benefit of a long, 12 hr decant. A hot vintage and the alcohol is noticeable before aeration but once it opened and passed the lips, it's pure pleasure. Thick body with bright acidity - it has a very hedonistic side but not over the top rs. Exceptional elegance (whatever that is) and restraint that gives me "a lot to think about". Really belongs on the level of a big Cali Cab with tremendous power and persistence. Aussie's would do well to take note: oak technique can make or break your Shiraz. This is a beauty and a bargain. Worth holding a few years (5+13+16+8) = 92

Nice, full bodied syrah. Very typical of syrah, long on the finish.

My wife was less enthusiastic than I was about this wine. I liked the fruit/jammy quality and thought it would go well with pork.
