Unfortunately it’s to late. After opening this evening, I was probably only 2-4 years butthe bottle was dead! Perhaps with the best storage it could still drink, but I found an odd texture to the wine after a decant, patience and even examination under light.

Incredibly backward in terms of appearance. Lovely Cabernet fruit on the nose, eucalyptus, spices, tobacco, cedar. On the palate fresh and bright, good fruit, slightly drying towards the finish. The acidity stuck out a little towards the end of the evening. Very persistent. Drink up. 91-93

Tasting Flora Springs (Walnut Creek, Ca.): Flora Springs Trilogy 6 vintages. Was a pleasant surprise of rich, cabernet fruit on the nose with a hint of wood, tasted to me like a tight cabernet needing 4 years of age, slightly austere fruit with very soft tannins, medium/big body that finished pleasant, flavorful but not as good as most 1985s. My #4.

Wow, really showing well to some surprise, a great depth of black fruit with notes of chocolate and dried green herbs.
