  • This bottle was drinking well with no signs of oxidisation, but I could not venture to speculate re its longevity in general. It is very typical in its taste profile with perhaps the effect of the oak a little too much to the fore for my personal tastes.

  • Lush, fruity and creamy with a silky smooth taste of exotic fruits with a nice mineral dry structure. Amazing now. Wish I had more.....

  • Yellow color typical of oak aged Chardonnay, but a little more greenish and limpid than most of its peers. Initially a little muted and reticent nose, which opens up to showcase more complex, rich and lifted aromas of sweet pineapple, lemon peel, mint, tart grapefruit, nuttiness, cream, pronounced butter, sweet spice and a hint of coconut. A layered and incredibly charming nose, where nuances intermingle between each other and the balance between the fruit and the spicy, savory oak is wonderful. The nose leads to expect a rich, full-bodied and ripe wine, but the palate is crisp and steely with pronounced acidity - something that would not feel out of place in a Chablis from a cooler vintage! Flavors of lemon, fresh pineapple, cantaloupe, herbal bitterness, some mature browned apple, a hint of breadcrumbs, and nuances of butter, spice and smoky toast from the oak. Despite the oak the palate is incredible light and very structured, all thanks to the steely acidity. Crisp, mouthwateringly tart and extremely persistent finish with flavors of freshly picked apples, herbs, butter, some fudge and a little French bread.

Very impressive, complex and balanced Burgundy white with a lovely combination of youthful, crisp fruit and some more mature, savory characteristics, all wrapped up in an incredibly structured and acidic package. Very, very lovely stuff that can be easily cellared for more than a decade, but is drinking beautifully already. Definitely a food wine in its current condition, thanks to the pronounced acidity, that craves something to smoothen it out. Truly a find at the discounted price of 25,29€, but still a worthy purchase at the original price of 31,60€.

  • Yellow appley fruit, some slightly soapy herb character, honey and a string of oak notes: cinnamon, mocha and chestnut.
Dry and refreshing palate with medium body. Some smoked cheese, herbs, butter and slightly unaccentuated though concentrated green to yellow fruit. Melon to raw banana. Toasty aftertaste with some elegance.
Dry style with decent fruit intensity. Nothing extraordinary, but a damn nice drop anyhow. Decant for some hours or cellar for the mid-term. The mid-palate needed air to build up.

  • Exotic fruit, fresh acidity, silky, long aftertaste. Creamy scallop pasta with saffron was an excellent match.
