Honeysuckle and lemon on the nose. A touch sweet on the palate, but not syrupy. Good wine, good price, but nothing special. Watched the GV review and in hindsight completely missed the obvious green apple component.

Medium golden color. Nose of floral, appricots, and peach. A touch of sweetness on the palate with minerals, lemons, orange peels, and peach. On the finish it picks up a candied fruit quality. Very nice concentration on this wine and it improved at closer to room temperature.

Floral aromas with some oak. Medium sweet. Green apple flavor - almost like a green apple jolly rancher, but not quite as sweet, also some pear. Very nice wine but a little sweet for dinner.

(Barton & Guestier Vouvray) #1; COLOR-golden; NOSE-a peachy pear action; sour apple as well; lacking the minerality I usually get from Vouvray; PALATE-very light; has nice blue stone minerality on the mid-palate; a little fresh fruit sweetness; lacks depth and disappears on the finish; some apple juice on the finish; not serious, but not bad for $8; GV-85+

Good tension between sweetness and stony/mineral acidity.
