Color was still a deep ruby purple, no physical signs of aging. Nose was barnyard and dry grass. Not at all pleasant. Tannins were still present with taste of old fig, raisin, violets, and sage. Very much Graves.

Dark ruby with some early signs of bricking. Red fruits on the nose with some floral and gravel notes. Seemed to fade fairly quickly in the glass, which suggests that this is nearing the end of its productive life. Cranberry and dusty earth flavors, tart acidity, a bit thin on the finish. Very enjoyable, though, for a fan of aged BDX like me.

A youthful smell of nail varnish, paint. More aged aromas support. Touch drying and the acidity is rising. The paint aroma continues. Faulty? If it is, I don't know what it is. Not awful and not corked. 84pts

Light garnet with some translucence on the edges. This was a very pleasant surprise. Leather, a touch of tobacco. Complex. Very good depth, with a quite decent finish. Began to pretty quickly fade on day two, as we expected it would, but even then it had a lot of character.
