Chardonnay de libro perfectamente desarrollada en botella. Fruta blanca madura con un frescura radiante. Mantequilla y algún fruto seco. La boca es puro volumen, jugosa. Un toque mineral y cítrico muy de la zona para sostener el conjunto.

nose of lime zest, minerals, sea breeze, and gun flint. soft and graceful in the mouth with the fruit competes with the non-fruit characteristics noted on the nose. delicate acid structure. finishes with some austerity with a citrusy succulence and minerals. not too shabby for $20.

at the Bottle Shop 2006 Burgundy tasting - pale yellow and a restrained nose with lemon notes. The initial taste was surprisingly thin (although it got more noticeable with more air time and as the wine warmed up a bit), but then the minerality ("chalkiness" according to Vincent) and flinty character, well supported by acidity, emerged. Grapefruity clean finish. Certainly it finishes better than it begins. Seems to be a good accompaniement with simple foods, too austere on its own. If there had been more body, it might have come home with me, but I passed.
