  • Dark berries and sweet spices in the tempting and complex bouquet. On the palate dark berries and beautiful garrigue, beautiful and fresh acidity and soft tannin with still a pleasant bite. Great length! This wine is in its drinking window, but has enough power to last for several more years. Delicious!

  • This bottle apparently found a wormhole to shoot forward in time without aging! My scribbles tonight are like 5.3 years ago:

9/23/2017 rated 95 points: Joe and Kyla Bon Voyage Dinner (Kyla's Kitchen): Immediately fruitier than the Quartz preceding it, this was like a trip through your grandpa's liqueur cabinet (does anyone really drink Kirsch or Crème de Cassis or Sloe gin, etc.... anymore?). Add in the black licorice, a hint of iodine, herbs, cocoa and you've got a complex wine that goes on and on. Now-2030. (2321 views)

I think the window is correct for well stored and wormholed bottles!

94 vvPunkte www.vvwine.ch

  • Big wine, high on extract, sweetness and alcohol.
Yet, its pure crunchy fruit, great acidic freshness and hearty, savory complexity provide an overall sense of harmony and balance.
Great example of a modern Southern Rhone.
    Yum.
