Six years later, this still drinking well. Very surprised at the longevity of this wine. Never would have thought that it would survive 44 years of age. Well done Chateau d'Angludet! Age shows in color and nose but the tertiary aromas are accompanied by some dar fruit that makes this so interesting. Tannins fully resolved of course and it may be somewhat passed peak but still drinking well. The medium plus acidity is definitely helping. Happy I kept some. I wonder if they will survive a few years more. Only time will tell. Cheers!

Second bottle of this wine and significantly better. Good fill level and cork in excellent condition. Very impressive clarity and hue for a wine this edge. The nose alone tells you that it is a 1975 wine from Medoc; nothing feminine or charming about this Margaux. Nose of pencil shaving, iron, faint tobacco, not that different from the 1975 Cos from the other end of the Medoc. Not very complex or evolved for its age. It's one of the 75s that may never offer much. The fruit has mostly dried up leaving behind some very severe tannins and little else. Only downhill from here...

Sound cork. Popped and tasted. Some initial musty aromas. Sweet red fruit, cedar, tobacco, dried flowers. Tannin is mostly gone and there was a lingering mustiness, like cork taint but not quite. Nothing strong left in this bottle but still pleasant with the correct food. Unmistakeably Margaux.

I had the chance to had a bottle to my 40th. The first impression in the glass was good, fresh and fruity after wildbearies. The color was dark and healthy. The first taste was with light tanine, taste of cherries and wildberries.
A few minutes later a disappointment. I had the feeling the taste is going down. After additional view minutes with more air it becomes a lot of flavour, it started to freshen up. Even after an hour it was still fresh and nice to drink. I think additional 5 years and it will be perfect.

Still alive with fruit and in balance! Past its peak, still a great treat.
