  • This bottle has been stored under impeccable conditions since release. Medium garnet colour, some sediment. Dark fruit, black currant, cherry, plum, vegetal and herbaceous notes, coffee, cedar, leather, tobacco, spices, cinnamon, and liquorice, with good acidity, and very good length. Full and broad, with good concentration and complexity. The tannin is a little coarse and sandpapery, but other than that the wine drinks quite well! I had guessed this ten years younger! More balsamic and mature but otherwise consistent on day two. Withstanding time. No upside, but not going down anytime soon either. Impressive.

  • Alcohol :: NA
    Bright light ruby red,brown rim. A classic matured Pauillac that is still alive but a tad simple on the palate. Nose was pretty complex, dominated by secondary note of cedar, roasted herb, leather intermixed with tobacco, capsicum with core of stew fruits. Still fresh, just perhaps a bit lean. Fully matured with no hard age, lots of autumn tea leaves and cedar, mineral lingered to the medium length finish. Drink up.

  • Bordeaux from the 70's (@ Bart; Neighbour PdV): Dark purple red. Expressive bouquet with cassis and oak; creamy and complex. In the taste cassis, soft as well as sticky tannin and some liquorice. Very good wine.
