Needed some time to open up, decanted for a couple of hours. This vintage was almost past the point, it had lost its finish. Dark with nice fruits, bright acidity and balanced tannins.

Tasted blind. Quite dark, fairly muted aromatically. Lots of oak coming through, a bit of dark fruit, & fairly tannic. 83 points. Non-blind nine hours after originally opening, some nice bacon fat is coming through on the nose, the oak has subsided a bit for dark fruit, still fairly tannic.

Fantastic. Still aging quite well. Enjoyed this thoroughly with a steak! Opolo does itself proud!

My friend had a bottle from the same vintage that went bad. This, however, was great. Rich and bold. Satisfying finish.

Good acidity and red fruit on the palate - paired well with Indian food
