  After 6 years of ageing it still shows fresh flavours and aromas, I was a little surprised, especially because my bottle was an half one. Acidity is sufficient while not very pronounced, but the ripe peach and apricot hints remindend me of much more young wines. I also felt spices like ginger and closing my eyes I could imagine the typical strudel cake (with apples, honey and nuts) you are likely to eat in North Italy and Austria.
  Medium body, low alcohol and some residual sugar make it also very easy to drink. A little bit too short on finish.
  
  Maybe I expected something more from an erste lage, but I would be curious to age it for another couple of years and see how much complexity it can develop.

  Riesling night @ Roel's (Netherlands): This is very easy to drink and loveable. Slick and seamless. Sufficient acidity, wonderful length, nice and clean and dry in the back. Focussed and concentrated. Asian spices like cardamom, lavender, citrus bitters, tea leaves. Very fresh and bright. Thought that this was a juicy and perky spätlese. 17.5/20
