Single piece cork, no seepage. Nose of honeyed white flowers, with a touch of oxidation. Palate follows through in a similar fashion. Aftertaste has a slight lactic note, curiously. Length is medium, intensity is low to medium. Complexity is lacking. Tasted dry.
After reading about the age worthiness of this bottling, this first experience is quite disappointing.

White creamy fruits laced with ferrous minerality and spiced indian florals. Structured serious palate of white stonefruits, twist of citrus but lots of slate and crushed pebbles.

Black Glass Society - Inaugral Dinner (Ming Kee, Macpherson Road): I rather enjoyed this one. Tight on the nose, but slowly opening up to show perfumed flowers, some earth, chalk and blanched vegetable notes, and then scents of cream and white fruit. With time, it actually smelled quite ripe, with a waxed, honeyed overtone. Hsien Min guessed this as a Chenin Blanc. Palate had more of that rather ripe white fruit, some flinty mineral and spice with just that hint of sour plum at the back-end. Creamily textured, but well balanced and kept in check by a sense of steeliness in its backbone. In fact, I thought this was a rather well-structured, serious wine. Finish was just a little sharpish with some citrus lemon showing. Otherwise, a pretty nice wine.

Excellent. Still lively fruit and finish. Just off dry. Green stone fruit.

Correct, mais manque de complexité, semble un peu dilué.
