Popped-and-poured. Darker color gave cause for concern, but both aromas and flavors were brighter and fresher than I feared. Nicely mature apple with some background lemon notes throughout. Some earth and butterscotch show the signs of maturity, but there is enough energy and plenty of density that keeps this interesting. This bottles was fresher than my last bottle (2016), but time to drink up.

Light yellow colour. Seems to be a lot of bottle variation. No hint of pox. Nose offers up lemons, lime, white pepper. Nice fruit but some what out of balance acidity. Slightly metallic finish.

A mature and nearing over-the-hill bottle. Nose shows oxidized with loads of butterscotch and caramel. Palate is a little better with some remaining acid. Mature apple and more butterscotch notes.

Gala Dinner 2023: (A) Spicy and fresh. No trace of premox so I consider it a win.

Château de Meursault Dinner (The Bristol - Chicago IL): Fully mature yellow apple with some Meyer lemon and roasted walnut. Very good concentration. Time to drink up.
