This is ok. A bit light. Has light aromas of chalk infused lemon+limes, herbs, honey+ mousse hints. Its light bodied austere solid fizzy medium dry palate has ok perlage and mediumish length. 12.5%. Not fantastic value at 8 Euros. I think Cava, Supermarket Champagne+Prosecco are better than this. There is no elegance here.

Winewankers BYO; 3/25/2017-3/26/2017 (Jan Roger): Light towards blank. Overripe fruit, perfume and some floral notes on the nose. Good mousse and length. Sweetish with some artificial fruit on the palate.

15+ y.o. bottle. More a peculiarity that the norm, this sekt is not intended to be kept that long, but I don't mind tasting such bottles for experience. Rather advanced but not overly dark yellow colour. Nose of tangerines, oranges; gasoline (not kerosine or petrol) aroma develops with air. Quite sweet, but sugar keeps it together. Medium sized bubbles disappear quite soon. Quite good actually, if you are into the demi-secs.

The first sparkling German Riesling I’ve tasted, as best I can remember. Pale yellow color. Yeasty apple nose. Sweet, simple, medium-bodied palate shows some apple and mineral flavors. Medium length finish. Supposedly dry, but tastes more extra dry to me. I was really hoping this would take on more of a Riesling profile. Nonetheless, a very decent aperitif wine.
