  • Dark purple and black cherry in colour, this wine shows great intensity on the nose, with deep black and red fruit, suggesting plum, cassis, black cherry, and light menthol. On the palate, wonderful extraction provides powerfully rich, yet exceptionally soft tannins that are balanced by good acidity. The wine is dry with an illusion of sweetness that lifts the fruit forward, with sustained and well integrated flavours of cassis, cocoa and caramel bringing you to long, complex finish.

  • Distinctive perfumed nose, hints of oak and pine, with ripe fruit - almost summer pudding. Soft tannins, not too much fruit on the palate, a little black cherry, nice tobacco bitterness & black pepper spiciness.

  • Equally impressive the second time around. Dried fruit character is hugely evident on nose and palate. Sumptuous texture that glides like velvet. If there is a flaw, it is that the fruit is so intense that it prevents any more complex elements from emerging. Still, quite impressive for Ontario.

  • A viscosity and dried fruit character that belies its Ontario wine heritage. Redcurrant, spice, and craisin (!) flavours with some moderate tannic depth and low acidity. Very interesting, well-made.
