  Garnet colour in the centre to an orangey rim. Nose has lots of raspberry, red cherry syrup, a little strawberry and earth but not funky, a touch of sandalwood. Palate is more of the nose plus clove and a christmas pudding type spicy aspect. Finish has a lot of the spice and ends with a bit of orange peel and juniper berry. Light bodied, medium acid (very nice). Didn't blow me away but was an excellent wine. A little tannin left which is nice considering the age. Would've liked a bit more weight but a solid 89+
