  • Well it would seem I couldn't wait more than 8 months since my previous bottle to see how this one would develop. So the verdict less than one year on? Pretty much the same as before. Though would argue that the fruit is little more savoury now, and the wine certainly seems a lot more integrated on the palate. But still quite a brash wine for a Beaujolais, and without doubt more Burgundian village pinot than Beaujolais Gamay. This is interesting Beauj.

  • Nicely perfumed red berry and cherry aromas, with earthy notes. Palate quite austere for a Beaujolais. Fruit is deep and ripe but has a slightly earthy flavour to it rather than the usual Beaujolais bubblegum. Nice fresh acidity and some semi serious tannins too. Feels like a serious wine and will be interesting to see how it develops.
