Sauvignon-like, yes, but not to the point of delivering herbaceousness or grapefruit. Minerality is a strength here, as well its lithe body. Expresses chardonnay grape characteristics which is to say it hasn't been altered much, or at least has been kept in check.

This is a delicious, balanced wine with a good deal of character. It lacks the power of typical highly rated chardonnays. Perhaps most notably, it lacks the custardy characteristic of so many California chardonnays. It's a lighter, cleaner, more refreshing chardonnay. Bright citrus, peach, and apple with excellent minerality. A little bit yeasty. Excellent to my tastes.

nose- grapefruit, fresh stream - the nose is suggestive of sauvignon blanc mouth - mid bodied with a lovely citrus tang on the otherwise somewhat dilute midpalate extending into the finish. Tangelo / tangerine comes to mind. Good minerality and very very refreshing. Lacks heft and concentration of a prototypical chardonnay which is neither good or bad - it just depends on your take. For me this is the preferred style of chard. Would be most interesting to taste this in a lineup of several white burgundies.

A driving mineral intensity. Softer on the palate, approachable, but with great minerality. A very good Macon.
