  The final bottle of this vintage. It’s been a great journey tracking the aging of this wine. This last bottle has a nice balance of black fruit and earthy notes. Strong red fruit as well. Vanilla is present but not overpowering. Pepper compliments the fruitiness that remains. On the palate, still incredibly balanced. Smooth and creamy with a zippy finish of pepper and earth. Wonderful wine.

  Still a beautiful ruby/garnet color. Strong fruit notes still dominate the nose. Sweet red cherry, strawberry, ripe blackberry. Some hints of vanilla. On the palate, incredibly smooth, very fruit-forward, tannins have mellowed. A long finish of earth and fruit, a tinge of acidity. Great balance. This has been one of the better bottles of this case and has not aged prematurely. This could still age for several more years in my opinion.

  Deep purple/ruby color. Very intense nose of blackberry, raspberry, sour cherry, fig, some pluminess. White pepper, violet, hint of eucalyptus and jalapeno. Baking spices, cocoa and wet soil. On the palate, perfectly ripe black and red fruit, incredibly smooth with a lingering acidity at the end. Classic cab franc. Medium tannins, medium plus acidity, medium full body. This is continuing to age very well.

  Deep ruby fading to pink rim. INTENSE nose of raspberry, strawberry, blackberry, olives, dates. Secondary notes of pepper, rose, mint, time, sage, and leather. Additional nose of baking spices, tobacco, clay. On the palate, tart red fruit and a sweetness like vanilla, high acidity, tobacco, cocoa. On the finish, spice and pepper with medium length. High acidity, medium-high tannin, medium high alcohol, medium full body. Decant approximately 30 minutes. Decent complexity but could honestly use a few more years in the cellar.
