Light yellow. Scents of slate minerals, yellow apples, apricot, yellow flowers, a touch of honey and hazelnut. Same on palate with nice balance between sweetness and acidity but less flavours than expected and a little dull without that punchy crunchy feeling.

Reflected in the sun, the wine shines clear in golden color with a bright low intensity. A developed ordinary clean nose shows classic petroleum, ripe lemon, fresh apricot and honey. Very mineral-driven, but as the temperature in the glass drops the apricot fruit characteristic occurs more intense. Beside the inconspicuous alcohol, the acidity is highly sharp and a medium-dry sweetness along with some stone fruit arranges a middling body. The nose matches the palate. There's a length in the aftertaste of a high savor apricot. I like this quite a lot, while influenced by one of the first spring suns. Good complexity, lovely balance! The low alcohol and classic Spätlese-integration makes you want to drink this in big sips. A few years more won't ruin the wine, but if you're sitting on this right now; drink up. http://quaffable.org/?p=46

This is a lovely balanced Mosel spatlese with flavors of apricot, green apple and slate. Fairly full-bodied with good richness and acidity and just beginning to show some mineral complexity on the finish. A full level of sweetness for a spatlese but the balance here is lovely and this should continue to age well. 90+

Quite oily with lots of apple, not that much mineral, good balance and a nice well balanced sweetneess.
