SLDS September 2018: Disgorged 2006. Golden colour. Violets and earth, lemon and apple. Nicely textured, plenty of honeyed flavour with good punch and drive. Well balanced and good length. Drinking well now.

(Disgorged in spring of 2007, dosage 3,5 gr/l, 57% Pinot Noir and 43% Chardonnay) Golden yellow colour with a stream of very fine bubbles. Mature nose showing oak, red apples and chocolate and with a structured palate showing red apples and lots of grapefruit acidity and showing oak tannins and with a very long red grapefruit peel acidity on the finish. This was a very good showing from Jacquesson, but perhaps still a bit dominated by the oak, but there’s enough fruit for this to keep evolving for years to come (and acidity as well of course... it’s from the 1996 vintage...)! Best 2016-2031.

Champagnesmaking av 1996 årgangen (Oslo): Moden halvfunky nese her.
Smaker funky også.
For meg har denne passert toppen.
Elektrisk lang finish.

Lite bränd på näsan, inte någon 1996-syra och sedan en lite märklig sötma i eftersmaken. Jag gissade på en 1989:a och blev inte jätteimponerad.
