Consumed my last bottle, paired with wood-grilled game meat pizza. The wine continues to drink well with notes similar to my last tasting 6 months ago: Dark fruit, minerals, hint of spice. Tannins are soft and well integrated. Medium finish.

I stumbled upon this wine in my cellar, still drinking well with notes of dark fruits, flint, minerals with good mouthfeel and medium finish. Drinking well but I don't see any improvement going forward - I'll most likely consume remaining 3 bottles over the next year or two.

They sure do make some nice stuff. In the $25 range this is a heck of a wine. Still fairly young with lots of fruit around. Needs a few hours of air. This should be fine for another 10 years but if your looking for some fresh fruit to mix with the earthy leather qualities, I would drink on the sooner side.

Opened one hour ahead of time. Fragrant aromas of cloves and eucalyptus. Flavors of lead pencil and spiced cherries. Licorice notes and a bit of heat in the lingering finish. With good structure, pleasant flavors and a firm backbone, this is forward without being a fruit bomb. It is definitely a New World styled California cabernet, but in the (if you'll pardon the expression) classic New World style.
This still tastes quite young and, as pointed out in other notes, probably still has several years to go before it reaches its peak.

Bright garnet color; cherry and lead pencil nose; tart cranberry, gunpowder, earthy flavors;astringent alcohol finish. I'd rate this higher, but the finish is a bit of a turn-off.
