The 15.3% alcohol level is the biggest challenge here. Very dark ruby in color, tart berry & cherry on the nose, along with an earthy scent and still a little alcohol even on day 2. The flavor is more ripe and dark cherry & berry, pepper and oak. Medium+ bodied. Again, still packing heat on second day. Age is not an issue but cannot imagine it getting better and should consume rest in the next several months. Needs a long decant. Once you are past the alcohol, it is pleasant enough for just under $20.

Very different Pinot. Cherry and berry aroma and taste, but something earthy, meaty as well. Not unpleasant, just different. It finishes hot and acidic. I've loved Adobe's Pinots before - maybe this is just too old....

Subtle on nose. Some tartness, but not overwhelming. Rosy, light, but full, herb and cherry. Quite coastal and sunny but not blatantly so. Nice balance and complexity. Seems to be holding up well. Enjoyed with Easter lamb.

Initial impressions not good. Maybe an ok wine underneath a huge amount of alcohol.
