I concur with the previous note from six years ago. This is no where near over the hill. Light gold color. Interesting complex nose with a hint of nuttiness, like a mature Mersault. Very lively and interesting on the palate with a long, satisfying finish. A very nice, mature Calif. Chardonnay very well crafted and without a lot of oak

Starts out showing oxidative and tart. But fruit comes through as it warms in the glass. Good crisp acidity, light lingering barrel toast and modest fruit. On the downslope. The last bottle 6 months ago showed better.

An interesting example of a mature Chardonnay. Not giving a great deal on the nose, but on the palate there's rich flavours of dried pineapple, and butterscotch. Perhaps past its prime, but still pretty decent. This got me wondering - why was the 1992 so youthful and the 1999 so mature? Was it the fact that the 1992 was from a magnum and had thus aged slower? Was the 1999 vintage less suitable for ageing? Or was it simply a case of bottle variation or storage?

In a beautiful place. Aromatic with white fruits, honey and nutty notes. Palate has a moderately rich texture with plenty of acidic kick. Long flavorful finish has spices integrated with white fruits. Quite good - thanks to Dan Kravitz for the recommendation. A steal.

No notes, but this was very vibrant and expressive, and at its peak.
