stunning, some redux, clean as a whistle, very youthful with tons of minerality, chalk, stone and light melon/lemon; silky entry, excellent lift, very long finish. Absolutley delish. Seattle M-day aperitif.

This started off with lots of reduction, then showed peach pit, hay, straw, chalk, some pear and apple skin and the like; silky, excellent mouthfeel with good lift and quite long. Showing tertiaries, really in a nice place now, even better than the last one I had. This is an excellent bottle. Absolutely superb. Hiro's 92-93

2007 J-F Mugnier Clos de la Marrchale Blanc - While Xiaopei tinkered with her flour formula for her hand-cut and hand-pulled “Long Life” noodles, I pulled our last bottle of this wonderful wine, the white Burgundy made by the master of red. Although it was a bit chilled, the bouquet of creamy lemon oil and slightly toasted buttery brioche, with notes of honey, white flowers, and crisp apples, with just a touch of vanilla, was a smile creator; and it only got better as it warmed. In the mouth, all those flavors felt sleek and slippery; this wine has great structure with just enough crispness for wonderful balance. A delicious, great bottle of wine, unfortunately, the last in the cellar. And the noodles, a warm up for later this week, were terrific!

The freshness of that wine! Notes of ripe golden apples, pâte d'amandes, butter. The palate has weight, round, mineral with sweet bitterness, I love the balance of that wine. Fantastic.

Floral start with ripe apple and slightly sweet spice. Good weight, maturing gracefully but I don't think there is further upside from here.
