  • A very nice white burgundy. Had with pan fried scallops with carrot fritters, then some dungeness crab.

Very clear with light gold colour. Nose is intense, with lots of mineral aromas rather than fruit or oak. Some of the tart apple fruit comes through, but there is little vanilla or coconut from the oak. The oak is more noticable on the palate - medium bodied with tart apple and pear fruit, nice richness with some coconut oak quite distintive, finish is full of lime, tart apple acidity - very nice. Quite excellent length. I like this a lot.

Probably opened at least 2 years too early, but this was a very nice minerally chardonnay, more like a chablis.
