PnP. Perfect cork. Cellared since release. Medium light red with clearing at the rim. Initially: Red fruits, especially apple, cherry on the nose. Medium bodied on the palate, red fruit driven, perhaps a bit high in acidity (sour? rather than sweet fruit). Quite a long but subtle finish. Doesn't really improve with air.

Cork crumbled on opening, so I strained it on the way to the decanter. Bright red fruit, almost sour. Pleasant oak on the finish and still plenty of brightness. More restrained than what I expected, and still feels like a young wine.
2/16/2019 Ditto. Cork disintegrated. After 20 minutes of fiddling with debris, it's a nice wine.

PnP - perfect cork. Cellared since release. Light red with clearing to the rim. Red fruits - raspberry, red apple, cherry on the nose with a spicy note as well. Given the sweet fruit on the nose this is surprisingly dry on the finish but with good mid-palate density. Over time this gets a bit better but doesn't live up to expectations. Pales compared to an 07 Marcassin drunk last week.

Pop and pour and served with food (grilled chicken with rice noodles, in case you were wondering). Followed for about 3 hours both with food and without food. Dark color. Nose of black cherries and some forest floor. This is a rich wine but there is good acidity that helps carry the fruit. Dark black cherries, some brown spice, touch of root beer, and a hint of vanilla (likely from oak treatment). A good wine but lacking in vibrancy. This was a major improvement over the 2006 Allen Vyd, which I had recently, which showed elements of cherry cough syrup.
