Definitely for old world fans; the fruit has completely given way to the terroir. If that's your thing, this wine won't disappoint. If you're looking for grapes, you might want a younger vintage.

Dernière bouteille et la moins agréable. Les autres 1970 était sublimes. Celle-ci a développée des notes végétales. Quand même appréciable pour un vin de 53 ans…

Wet forest floor, leather, broth on the nose. Dried fruit notes on tasting. Very gentle. Spicy aftertaste. Very soft tannins. Bottle difference: first bottle considerably less successful.

Brownish red colour, smells of mushroom and autumn forest floor. There's also a hint of red berries. The acidity is quite high. I Audouzed the wine for 4 hours but it started peaking after about 3 more hours in the glass. So I would recommend opening the bottle 6 to 8 hours before drinking.
