  • Brick red, strawberry, cherry, cassis, plum, a whole fruit basket with a little Syrah. Almost more a fruit salad than a chateauneuf :-). Very compote-like, liqueurize, time to drink, actually a bit too late, peak was probably 3 years ago, now extremely soft (too soft for a chateauneuf ) and hardly any tannins.

  • Double decanted, tasted second day. Deeply concentrated garnet with some slight bricking at the rim, throwing a bit of sediment. Cranberry compote, strawberry fruit leather, black cherry and plum skin on the nose. Notes of black pepper, barnyard, and faint dried herbs. Darker fruit on the palate than the nose, more plum, black cherry and blood orange pith. Finishes slightly bitter but otherwise really enjoyable and in a really good place right now. Still very much fruit driven and I suspect this wine had a lot more life in it.

  • Pretty good CdP, Decanted overnight and drunk with friends with snacks and cold meats at an informal party. Showed strong grenache characteristics with resinous red fruits on the nose and reasonable concentration on the palette. Hints of forest floor and a little syrah spice. Got it on sale so I was reasonably pleased. I don't think this should be kept for much longer.

  • Opened on a cool brisk autumn evening in the upper Midwest - for a Saturday night by the fire with my love. Decanted for about 30 mins - then dove in. Opened with a nose of a well maintained stable on a warming Spring day...fresh grass, warm terroir, sunshine. First taste full of large fruit - raspberries, strawberries, cherries -and a hint of pepper. As it opened up, provided long lingering flavor, full mouth expression. Enjoyed with grilled chicken, roasted baby potatoes, and greens. Highly recommended!!!
