  • I won't rate because my (low) score would be too much of an outlier. Wife an I agree this as not corked, maybe some bottle variation. Funkiness never blew off and we made faces trying to find the point of this wine. Eventually we opened another bottle to have with dinner.

  • Nice red-to-purple, semi-clear in color. Low viscosity evidence of the lower alcohol content in this wine. Rhone components, Syrah to Cunoise? Maybe Grenache? Lots of Red Veggie/Tomato & smoke on the nose, with lighter red cherry fruit trailing on the palate. Nice weight to this rhone, with good acidity, making it a very food friendly wine to pair. Not much on the finish which fades pretty early on. The edges are very much French countryside, and a welcome diversion from a week of California only wines.

  • Perfume on nose, some viognier blended would be my guess. Red pasta sauce with high acidity and roasted red pepper notes on back end, with some minerals. Red and black berry blend, with medium tannins. Solid N. Rhone and excellent QPR.

  • Decanted for two hours. Ruby, with a purple and garnet core. Warming red fruits - strawberries and raspberries There's also wet earth and lilacs. There's is a little of that "French Funk", however, the fruit really does come through during the onslaught and the finish. Very feminine and the mid is evident. A finish that is almost beguiling. On the next day this was even more open. This is the best I've had from this producer. Drink now - 2014.

  • Rare NY strip steak with meat tenderizer. Slight smoke on long finish.
