Strange defect in this. Initially very yeasty, almost spritzy. Improved with air and we did drink it, as it was not unpleasant but it was definitely not showing as it should. Sweet, yeasty.

Found in the forgotten depths of my cellar....The nice thing about buying 3-12 bottles of wine and storing over a number of years is watching them develop and mature. This is the last of six bottles purchased back in 2009...and by far the best. Nearing maturity and hitting on all cylinders. Completely ready to drink with complexity showing through with lots of tertiary notes: dried red flowers; dried raspberries, ripe cherries, stewed plums and crushed garrique; accentuated with ripe compost. Palate is lively with very good integration of fruit and structure. Finishes medium plus. Should drink well for another 2-3 years, if cellared properly.

2007 Chateauneuf-du-Pape tasting: Juicy, black fruit, cassis. Dusty nose, pleasurable, but not too complex. Stood the test of time quite well.

Gang of 4 in Covid19 times; we each brought 2 or 3 bottles (@ RW): Juicy, but also corked. Pity.

Still fantastic, not peaked by any means. Sad it was the last bottle.
