Quite youthful, dark purple/red color. Hmm.. Opens up with some air. Nice earthy notes, sour dark fruit on the nose. Acidic, powerful punch with plums, cherries, peppers and a dry somewhat oaky finish. Surprisingly low on fruit tannins (50% Tannat, 30% Cab Franc, 20% Cab Sauv). Medium finish. Interesting bottle of wine from Uruguay at a nice price. Recommended.

Deep dark brilliant red Pleasant aromas of oak and ripe dark fruits. Could have been a good nebbiolo based wine on the nose. full bodied, good bite, decent balance. Ripe grapes and raspberries in the palate. Good length
Pleasant suprise from one of the more unknown wine producing contries. Worth trying if you are curious about uruguayian wines. Drink within a year or two.

Past the peak with a year or so. Lost the fruit, but still some power left.
Look at earlier notes for better impression of the wine.
