Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 75 points

  • color: medium purple; nose: oak and cherry; taste: medium body mouth feel, raspberry, slightly tangy finish; overall: a great big "meh" - very average, lacks distinguishing features or nuance, and not worth drinking again.

  • First, I am entertained that there is no sign on the 2008 bottle that this wine has anything to do with Concha y Toro. The top of the cork was a little fragile, but by the time the whole thing was out, the bottom was fine...the cork was also the only place where the relationship to CyT was revealed.

I'm pretty sure that I have rarely disliked a wine as much as this one. It wasn't spoiled or vinegarry, I just found it ugly....not a case where it was still too young (I can recognize and forgive that), it was just meh.
