Unscrew and pour: Odd nose with hints of pink hand soap like one finds in public restrooms and bubblegum. On the palate it comes on jammy on the front end, but on that back there's a lingering bitter acidity. I'm getting over a cold, so maybe my senses are still a bit off, but this is just not saying anything coherent to me. Smoothed out considerably after running through the Soiree and a piece of sausage with it further improves the experience, but I am still not enjoying the finish, though it's coming across more smoky and spicy and somewhat less awkward. Paired rather well with some smoked cheese. In short, I found it decent with some food after being aerated but wouldn't seek it out again. The interesting blend of grapes had me hoping for more interesting character.

interesting petite sirah/syrah blend that has good balanced fruit then very nice tannins and black pepper...can taste the dark petite sirah fruit then good earthiness. at $12 this is a great everyday wine price for a better than everyday wine.

Color: Dark ink, just as you would expect from these grapes. Nose: Dark cherries, also some green pepper juice. Taste: Black cherry juice, a hint of oaky butter/cream, bright acid. Decent tannins, could age another year or two. Long finish. This is not too complex, but full flavored and very nice with the delicious grass-fed locally raised sirloin steak I am having for dinner. Good QPR at $14.
