Appearance: Orange-red; bricking. Lots of sediment. Need to decant. Fruit is undiminished, balanced by savory notes. Strong alcohol bite but after breathing it is very balanced. Very enjoyable.

Combined Wine Night (Pine Close): Tasted blind. Drank over 2.5 hours. Appearance is clear, deep intensity, ruby colour with garnet edge. Long legs. Nose is clean, pronounced intensity, with aromas of licorice, sweet baking spices, white pepper, black cherries, raspberry jam. Developed. On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, high alcohol (15.5%), medium+ tannins, full body. Pronounced flavour intensity, with flavours of black cherry jam, raspberry jam, licorice, sweet baking spices, white pepper, slight minerality. Long lingering finish. Very good quality. Felt like a premium cult Australian Shiraz. Blend of 68% Cabernet Sauvignon and 32% Touriga Nacional.

Interesting blend of NV (non-vintage) Cabernet Sauvignon and Touriga - a 'lost' varietal - hence the name ... Dark garnet color, full bodied, thick chewy, almost shiraz like coating the tongue - forward black and blue fruits, ripe black raspberry turns to a tone of spice, hint of cedar and kirsch on a full, moderate soft chewy tannin finish. Opened at OTBN (Open That Bottle Night) dinner - brought by Dr Dan.

Dark garnet to purple color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of aspirin, violets, white pepper and plums. Flavors of Kirsch, currants and black berries. Medium acidity, medium to firm tannins, medium to full bodied. Drink now with air or continue to hold. Although a fairly well made wine (thus the WIML90) yet another Wine Advocate overrated Aussie wine with cutesy packaging that I wouldn't lay down in my own cellar for 10 days, more or less 10 years.

Red berry fruits, some smoke and luxurious toast. Very ripe fruits, good acidity and length. Very ok wine, but I am not crazy about it. No score.
