A first for me....kind of a fun wine, especially after sipping on Dow's 2007 Vintage Port for the last week and a half. A blend of 40% Touriga Franca, 25% Tinta Roriz, 20% Tinta Barroca and 15% Touriga Nacional....Dark plum, blackberry, and strawberry fruit, soft and fruity......vinegar tang, cocoa powder, nice earth tones, stemmy herbs, little pepper spice. Sweet, but not too sweet....really easy drinking, yet something different to it. Good solid structure, but not one for age imo. Killer qpr at under $10!

Strong attack of bitter cocoa powder, gradually calmed down and integrated with lovely dark fruits and good fruity acid.

Very Good wine for the price. Improved with a couple hours of breath. A little bit of tannin flavor, a little bit of pepper
