Blind. Obviously Bourgogne, but couldn’t get any further. After a few slightly tough showings over the past 5 years, this bottle was starting over the hill. Rather ungainly at first, but better with air but still tasting on the old side. Drink up

Intense tart cherry fruitiness immediately after decanting. After an hour, the fruit is more sweet cherries with vanilla, cedar, and mushrooms, along with round tannins and refreshing acidity. Just delicious, and so good with any beef dish. Very nice for a village wine. The 1er Cru C-M that I had last month was even better, but this bottle was no slouch.

Last year, I found this overly lean and tough. Markedly improved now with a fair amount of air. Still rather firm and needing more time, but now with more tart red fruits showing through. Not a wine to demonstrate the elegance of Chambolle, but coming together.

Lots of tart red fruit. This is still rather muscular and taut. A nice bottle, but not the most charming wine yet.

Finally showing some red fruit behind the tartness. Bought them in 2010 and was giving up on this wine. Would go well with food.
