Dark purple. Dark cherry jam and some herbs on the nose. Big, rich, with dark ripe and slightly roasted fruit and a stemmy, bitter herbal note. Big wine, with little complexity; high alcohol. Still structured but no reason to hold these.

Mostly put into short ribs (yum!) but had a glass. This is better than my past experience with this wine. It has cooled down a bit in terms of alcohol and over is better balanced. Still rather monolithic. Black cherry, pepper, not much else. Not a bad wine, but nothing to savor or hang onto.

hmmm, well, OK, this is very different than the btl I had 3+ years ago. Nice black cherry nose, but definitely some green vegetable there. This is rounder than the prior btl with dark fruit, leather, tar, and bitter chocolate. Major problem is that EtOH is really prominent and gives it a dried out impression. This is overall not a great wine, but at $12 on release from Zachys it's hard to complain too loudly!

I didn't like this and hope it was just a bad botttle. Thin, roasted red fruits, beet, cola, green peppers. Middle section was hollowed out. Short finish. A mess.

Cherry and dry leaves in the nose. Expansive palate, blackberry in the foreground, with currant and grape jelly adding maybe a bit too much sweetness. Unusual, zingy tannins, nice acid bite. Not like any other CdR wine I've tasted, but I haven't had much Rasteau.
