Eric’s bottle, and it was only decanted for a short period of time. I think it needed a lot more time. When first tasted, there was some funk and soy. With about an hour, the funk disappeared, and the wine seemed promising with delicate red fruits, hints of mint along with maple and soy. It just never blossomed. You could see the soft, silky, red fruited elegance there, but the wine remained muddled and slightly out of balance. I don’t think this was a great bottle, or at needed a lot more time in a decanter to be at its best.

8 hours before serving into Zalto Burgundy glass (“Fruit” day): Pale ruby with bricking rims.
Needs time in glass to blossom: very finely detailed red fruits. Very complete.
Very finely balanced overall and has this mellow feel that is consistent with last tasting.
94 points.
Second round tasting: Wow, really improved with a level of purity that is unmatched with any other wines tasted tonight. Great substance to the ethereal feeling. Emotional. 94-95 points.

Super nose: Nice spectrum of fresh red fruits. Rose petals, a little tar and smoke. Very charming.
Great acidity that carries the wine a very long way from intial attack to finish. Firm but ripe and suave tannins. Great structure. Minerality all the way too. Clean persistent finish.
A wine at its peak. Perfect timing and a “wow” for everyone. 94 points.

Some signs of age in colour, garnet red but the nose is very very attractive, rich of sweet red fruits or even candied like - but definitely not heavy nor cooked. Great finesse on the palate, tannin is well molten but still holding well. Lovely stuff. Personally I would like to see a more vivid palate but overall it is balanced and well made, and maybe that's why Bruno didn't make a riserva for the vintage. A great effort for his last vintage on this plot. Drinking well now but no hurry at all. 16.5/20

PnP. Effortless and weightless elegance. None of oxidization sign. Smooth, vivid fruits and gentle yet lingering acidity. Extremely feminine. Agree it's at peak now.
