  • Decanted off its sediment and served with a simple supper- Morgan Ranch wagyu kebabs hot off the grill and a green salad. Pours a healthy crimson color with no bricking or visible sign of age. Aromas of mixed red and black fruit with pepper and spice aromas. Adds a floral top notes as we neared the last pours from the decanter. Notes of sweet blue fruit emerge as well. Medium-bodied with resolved tannin; impeccable balance. Flavors of red, black and blue fruits mingle on the palate, with pepper, spice, cherry and pomegranate. Medium+ finish. This is an elegant wine at this stage, and I am very happy to have two more in the cellar to enjoy in the near term. 93 for me, 91+ for Domino.

  • Decanted off its sediment and served. Notes of dark syrah fruit, pepper and game meats. Flavors of licorice, black fruit and pepper. Medium-bodied with soft tannins and a lingering finish. In a great spot right now. 93 for me, 91 for Domino.

  • Decanted off its sediment, of which there was just a little. Deep crimson color with notes of red plum, dark berry, white pepper and spice and perhaps even a bit of cassis on the back end. There's a subtle floral undertone too which I enjoy very much. Medium-bodied with softened tannins and flavors of dark fruit, warm spices and perhaps even lavender. Balanced, with a lengthy finish. I can't wait for the lamb chops to arrive as this is going to pair beautifully.

  • My last bottle. Drinking quite well now with notes of grilled meat, raspberries, black cherries and earth/herbs. Integrated medium acid/tannins. A nice syrah with good balance.

  • Last bottle and i am sad to run out. This is at its prime, drinking beautifully in perfect balance. Blueberry, blackberry fruits, a little touch of smoky bacon fat, perfect acidity and so smooth.
