A fair bit of menthol and cough syrup on the nose. The palette isn't very well balanced, although behind the oak and tannin is some interesting fruit, but the finish is out of focus. Almost past it, but it wasn't very expensive so no major complaints.

Nose: Menthol, eucalyptus and oak. Palette: Thin, but a good fruit and oak balance. Oaky tannic finish Overall: Takes a while to work after first opening, but it does get there. Cellaring: Could keep for a bit longer to see if the tannic finish gives way to the fruit a bit, but it could just be that this is all there is.

Nice simple wine. Dark purple. Cherry cough syrup taste. Not bad for the price.
