  Shy but pretty nose of red fruits, coco and a hint of oak. Harmonious, balanced palate. Laser like acidity and somewhat rustic tannins. Intense, juicy, mid palate that goes a bit black fruit before sliding into a very long, pleasantly sour, cranberry-ish finish. Austere but mouthwatering and delisious. Great length and a great value (@$24).

  Decanted for one hour. Very young and a bit austere. Nose wasn't giving much at first but opened up a bit towards the last glass. Nice red fruit with a bit of dirt (not really funky dirt, but a real dirt mixed with rock kinda thing). Nicely balanced red fruit/cherries with bright acid and some supporting tannin. The wine was a bit thin and light - like most '07's I've had so far. Pretty good deal for the money.

  Le nez se livre sans retenue sur la terre noire, le jus de fraises et les fraises des champs; en plus d’être parfumé, il possède un petit côté sauvage et rustique. L’ensemble est fort plaisant. La bouche est cependant très acide, et cache la masse fruitée qui cherche à se frayer un chemin. Avec deux ans de repos, on pourrait avoir un vin superbe pour son prix. Selon les dires de Bruno Clair, Marsannay est une appellation sous-estimée, en raison notamment de ses origines et de sa réputation à produire du rosé. Ce genre de vin, tout comme le Marsannay Vaudenelles dégusté à deux reprises sur le millésime 2005, nous prouve qu’il est possible sur cette appellation de produire des vins structurés destinés à la garde à moyen terme. 88
