  • Forgot to write this one up. Medium bodied, earthy, dark cherries, damp woods. Still some grainy tannins. Don't think it liked being Coravined! Bit dark and austere but quite impressive for all that.

  • 1/6, very good cork.
Pale/medium garnet core, pale garnet rim. Dark/purplish fruit on the nose, touch of soil. Quite complex, sophisticated with a hint of mulch with time in glass. Medium bodied, attractive dark fruit, touch of mulch, fine (still firmish) tannins, some liquorice on the good length finish. very good indeed, pushing excellent, should improve.

  • Wednesday wine night casual at ES BK. Tasted blind. Apparently aired in bottle for many hours already.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of earth, dark red cherries, ripe strawberry, chalky rocks minerality. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), medium+ tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of leather, earth, chalky rocks minerality, dark red cherries, red plums, ripe strawberry. Long finish.
Very good quality. I was guessing Gevrey Chambertin Premier Cru here. Good old vine fruit quality. Not rustic, but just lacking the feeling of refinement. Prefer Pavelot's 2007 Savigny 1er La Dominode.

  • Dekantert 1 t. Lys rød farge. Betagende nese med bringebær, fioler, skogbunn og anis. Syrlig og strukturert i munnen med flott frukt hele veien. Lette tanniner. Pen avslutning med lakris. Min beste SLB noensinne! Fra over 100 år gamle vinstokker.

  • Impressive after some time in the glass - super clear fruit and a touch of density on the palate, but 30 minutes of air relaxes the wine and cherries, minerals and chalky soil peek out. Has quite a bit of body this with some blackberries and chocolate powder - just JUST starting to be approachable. I'd leave for another few years to get the best out of this. Excellent.
