Final bottle from a 6 pack. This showed beautifully today, with perfectly tart cherry fruit, mintiness, lovely soil notes. Perfectly mature, drink soon.

Burgundies, Blanc et Rouges (Sta. Rita Hills, CA): My last of six, and it makes me wish I had been more patient with the others. Inserted into a double blind Burgundy tasting, this was an easy winner of the red flight, with an evocative nose of red currants and plum, a touch ripe, along with spice and smokey notes. A seamless mouthfeel, not the least bit tired, just waves of gentle red fruit and more spice. Delicious stuff.

Not my favorite Charmes I've ever had, but still nice nonetheless. The acidity was a bit too present even with significant air, perhaps just a bit out of balance. I have loved some 07s, but some just are not in sync. I still enjoyed the red fruit and floral, sappy elements. Was not bad at all. I would have liked a bit more delineation for what it was

Penultimate bottle from a 6 pack. Last consumed 2.5 yrs ago. Lovely, this wine unfolded over an hour of being opened. Bright cherry fruits, cherry pit, sweet tarts, potting soil and wet stones. Drink this gorgeous wine over the next 2-3 yrs.
Soft and supple. Light red fruit coaxing out in layers and becoming deeper in each sip. Very elegant, lots of finesse and balance. Would have guessed a Chambolle from style. Mushroom and spice works its way into a lovely long finish.
