Popped and poured. Tasted best on the 3rd day. There is something with the nose of the wine on the first night that turned me off a tad. Almost a cinnamon/clove overly sweet flavor. It blew off some on the second day and mostly on the third day. Ok weekday wine, but at $12, not a huge QPR.

Second try of this wine at Booze. Enjoyed this a little more - excellent value I think. Nose was pleasant enough, with ripe cherry and strawberries, some dirt and umami layering. There was also quite a bit of alcohol on the nose. Palate was decent, some heat, as would be expected, but not too imbalanced. More strawberry and red berries, a metallic tang at the back of the palate and grainy tannins into the finish, which showed some freshness.

Very "new world" - about as far away from your traditional Spanish Tempranilllo based wines (e.g. Vega Sicilia) as chalk and cheese. Light-medium bodied, with a clear cherry / rasberry nose and the same bright fruit on the palate. Marked by fresh acid and a rather thin tannin structure. Not a serious wine by any stretch of the imagination, but a very decent quaffing wine at ridiculously good value.

Ostry nos, mniej owocowy niż w cabernet, beczka wanilia. Falne, suge usta z kwasowościa, może trochę mało okrągłe i cieliste.
