Similar to last time, there is an acid spine that keeps this vibrant. Barely perceptible RS at cellar temp becomes more noticeable when chilled. Not going to turn any heads but definitely older school spatlese that has a delicacy provided by its structure

PNP. Cork perfect. Color dark straw. Nose has candied lemon rind and light TDN. Swishing shows cheek coating acidity that goes tart onthefinish sipping reveals some RS,but not a lot. Pretty well balanced and clean. Ready to go

1855 German Wine Tasting (Dr Loosen) (1855): Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of stony/flinty minerality and limestone. Hints of petroleum. Developing. On the palate, surprisingly dry for a Spätlese, high acidity, medium- alcohol, medium body. Medium- flavour intensity, with flavours of stony/flinty minerality and limestone dominating, and just a hint of white peaches. Medium finish. Interesting dry style stern minerally Spätlese. Can drink now, and may develop some interesting notes with age, maybe another 5+ years.

This one is a bit oxidized. Hoping bottle variation but prob not. Drink don’t hold based on this one
