Ordered at Berns Steakhouse for $230. Absolutely a stunner. Perfect balance, light bodied. Has 10 plus years left on it. Awesome finish. Great value. Somms did mention their wines last longer since they are stored at 50 degrees. There are three bottles left in their private reserve cellar. Incredible.

An Evening at Bern's (Tampa): After 2 unsuccessful bottles, we hit the jackpot with this. Beautiful, graceful and elegant old Burgundy. Sweet, round and floral with lovely spice on the nose and palate. Delicate, but with power that stays with you for quite a while.

From a nice looking bottle with 5 cm ullage, this wine had a light red center with orange/tan rims. The medium+ intensity nose put forth sour cherries, raisins, dried apricot, and soil.
In the mouth, this wine was quite refined with great balance and very light rounded tannin. It was rather funky when first opened and took a couple hours to show its best. It was nicer in the mouth than the nose as it had less of the raisin element.
This wine showed awesome potential. Given this is my only experience with this wine, it is unclear why this wine didn't perform better. Is this just the way the wine is or was this bottle a bit mistreated?
What I can say is this particular bottle was nice but a bit past its prime.
