My palate may not be sufficiently sophisticated to appreciate the intricacies offered by this wine.
There is a rustic power which I've not before encountered. At the table with a chicken, olive oil, herb and pasta dish, its structure overshadowed the entrée. This was not the fault of the wine but that of the person who selected it for the meal.
Tasted and re-tasted and pondering, I teased out several components that characterize this wine. Flint, chert gravel surface which challenges the naive palate to stay the course. Filling in this rough, inorganic surface, I detected a rind like citric tartness that was sufficient to smooth the ride in an acceptable, entertaining manner. I cannot aver that I detected any floral component.
I'm still trying to understand thus wine.

Easy drinking - floral nose, very light peach in the mouth and a bit of minerality. Simple but good for the price.

Excellent Torrontes! A pale yellow in the glass, the aromatic nose was of acidic grapefruit (NOT the sweet ruby red variety) and lemon. Much the same on the squeaky clean palate, with excellent acidity, with a finish that exceeded 15 seconds. Was very good on its own and when consumed with a lunch of ham and provolone sandwiches and white corn tortilla chips.
